FOUNDER & CEO
Ariel brings over twenty years of technology innovation and entrepreneurship to Stratoscale. After a ten-year career with the IDF, where he was responsible for managing a section of the Technology R&D Department, Ariel founded Passave, now the world leader in FTTH technology. Passave was established in 2001, and acquired in 2006 by PMC-Sierra (PMCS), where Ariel served as VP of Strategy. In 2006 Ariel founded Pudding Media, an early pioneer in speech recognition technology, and Anobit, the leading provider of SSD technology acquired by Apple (AAPL) in 2012. At Apple, he served as a Senior Director in charge of Flash Storage, until he left the company to found Stratoscale. Ariel is a graduate of the prestigious IDF training program Talpiot, and holds a BSc from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science (Cum Laude) and an MBA from Tel Aviv University. He holds numerous patents in networking, signal processing, storage and flash memory technologies.
Anat came to Stratoscale from Waze, where she held the position of CFO and was a member of the executive team that led and managed several investment rounds. She managed the ﬁnancial and due diligence processes for the company’s $1 billion acquisition by Google. Before working at Waze, Anat was the Director of Finance and a member of the Board at Schema. She started her career as a senior auditor at KPMG. Anat holds BA in Accounting and an LL.B., both from Tel Aviv University.
An expert in the cloud and virtualization space, Ronen has extensive experience leading virtualization and cloud products from inception to wide market adoption. Prior to joining Stratoscale, Ronen held leadership positions at Mirantis, Oracle and Intel. As VP of Product at Mirantis, Ronen played a key role in shaping OpenStack to meet real world use cases for enterprises, service providers, telecommunications vendors and application developers. Prior to Mirantis started Oracle’s OpenStack initiative, forming the development team and launching Oracle’s first OpenStack product. Ronen holds an MBA degree from the MIT Sloan School of and a Bachelor’s degree in computer and software engineering (cum laude) from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
VP BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
With over 15 years of domain expertise in the IT and cloud space, John has been leading Stratoscale’s business development efforts over the last 4 years.
Prior to joining Stratoscale, John held product, marketing and strategy executive positions in leading startup companies such NetQoS (acquired by CA Technologies) and Calxeda. At the onset of his career, John specialized in big data systems, implementing mission critical database systems still in use today.
John holds a BS in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin.
VP OF CLOUD ARCHITECTURE
Simon joined Stratoscale from the product management team of Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, focusing on networking, compute and control services; Simon joined Red Hat as a result of the Qumranet acquisition – Qumranet brought KVM into Linux and developed the SPICE remote protocol for Qemu.
Simon worked for 7 years at CISCO Systems as a hardware developer after it acquired Pentacom, where he worked at the time; Simon started his career at Motorola, where he served as a hardware engineer.
Simon holds an MSc and BSc in Electrical Engineering from the Tel Aviv University.
Maya Pops Green
VP HUMAN RESOURCES
Maya has over fifteen years of experience in HR roles. Prior to joining Stratoscale, Maya was Vice President of Human Resources at PrimeSense for seven years ─ from the earliest stages of the company’s development, until it was sold to Apple. In addition to HR, she has extensive experience in career development and consultation from her work as Director of the Executive Department at JobInfo, a leading recruiting firm. Maya holds a BA in Special Education.

Anat brings an extensive experience and deep expertise in customer success and support. Anat joins Stratoscale from Kaltura, where she led the customer services team. Prior to Kaltura, Anat spent eight years leading global customer success and support for ExLibris, where she led a 100+ team and was responsible for all customer services aspects including deployment, 24×7 NOC, success and support hiring. Prior to ExLibris, Anat spent six years at Nice (NASDAQ: NICE) as a director of customer support and professional services. Anat started her career as a developer and project manager in Amdocs (NASDAQ: DOX).
Anat holds a BA in Computer Science and Economy from the Bar-Ilan University.
